Boxing Day sees Witton welcome Cheshire neighbours Warrington Town to The NetDec Stadium, in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Town now under the management of former Chester midfielder Paul Carden, have had a good start to their campaign and currentlyoccupy one of the Play Off spots going into the game. Amongst their squad are a few faces that will be familiar to Albion fans including, Adam Carden who happens to be the brother of the manager and Liam Goulding, who had a brief spell with Witton a few seasons ago whilst then on loan from Accrington Stanley before going to play at Wealdstone and then arriving at Warrington. Another face which may be known to some Wittoners, is midfielder Jamie Davis who featured in a few of the minor cup games during his stay with the club. Derby fixtures at any time of the season tend to capture the imagination and this one has all the ingredients to be an entertaining affair, as both teams like to play football. Witton go into the game off the back of an excellent performance and victory at Sutton Coldfield Town, which will surely give them confidence and the added bonus of scoring six goals. Warrington will be looking to keep pace with the top teams and will be hoping to put Saturday's home defeat to Coalville Town behind them. Three points for Albion also takes them to within one point of their opponents, at a time when games come thick and fast over the holiday period. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.
