Bakkor: "Unfinished business"

Bakkor: "Unfinished business"

Paul Harper14 Jul 2020 - 15:23

Forward excited for Wincham Park return

Attacker Scott Bakkor is pleased to be back at Witton Albion after agreeing to rejoin the club from Stalybridge Celtic ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

The 26-year-old originally arrived at Wincham Park back in 2013 before spending the last six years of his career with Skelmersdale United, Clitheroe, Colwyn Bay, Warrington Town and Stalybridge.

Bakkor says he wants to show the Albion faithful what he's all about after returning to the club.

Speaking to the Non-League Paper (NLP), he said: "I don't feel I have a point to prove, so let's call it unfinished business.

"It's true that I've spoken to Witton a couple of times (in the past), and the manager (Carl Macauley) was the first to contact me after last season ended.

"That says a lot about what he thinks about me, and it's the right moment for both of us."

Manager Carl Macauley is delighted to have got his man after pursuing him as a target for some time.

He told the NLP that he believes Bakkor's creative ability will be a real asset for Albion next season.

"I warned Scott I wouldn't give up, not least because I was sick of him being brilliant against us!

"He's a player that can change a game in the blink of an eye, something we have lacked."
