This feature is going to look at some of the famous faces who have played in the Witton ranks and have either come to us after a professional career or have gone on to play in professional ranks.
The first featured player didn't have a long and illustrious Witton career but his professional career at Crewe Alexandra, in particular, is worthy of a feature.
He had enjoyed a great career in the professional ranks in his younger days, but he started out in non-league football and worked his way up the football pyramid.
A regular goalscorer at Hyde United, Little impressed then Crewe boss Dario Gradi enough for the Gresty Road club to invest £50,000 to bring him to the club.
It was money well spent as Little went on to become a fans' favourite with the Railwaymen making more than 200 appearances and helping them to promotion via the play-offs in 1997.
After leaving Alex, Little went on to play for Macclesfield Town and Halifax Town in the Football League before again dropping down to non-league with Altrincham, becoming the Robins' top scorer in the first four seasons he was at Moss Lane.
Following his departure from Alty, Little went on a playing tour of various non-league clubs, arriving at Wincham Park in October 2010.
Little arrived at Witton at the end of his playing days, aged 37, and made just four appearances in the red and white stripes.
The forward netted one goal during that brief spell in 2010, scoring in a 3-1 victory over Radcliffe Borough in the FA Trophy, before ending his playing career a year or two later.
He was already involved in coaching at this stage, working with some of the young Manchester United sides in the Old Trafford Academy, and most latterly he has been coaching the Under-18s with the Red Devils.
