Witton make the first of two visits to Greater Manchester on Tuesday night when they take on Wythenshawe Town in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Town go into the game in sixteenth place in the table and have won two, drawn two and lost three of seven home games so far.
Witton go into the game on the back of three successive victories and will be hoping that run continues in what will be another difficult test for the team.
Wythenshawe Town are competing at this level for the first time in their history having gained promotion via the play offs from the North West Counties Premier Division at the end of last season.
The two teams have never met in a competitive game before so this will be an experience for both clubs.
There will be one familiar face to Witton supporters as Wythenshawe Town are managed by former Albion midfielder Rory Fallon, who has done an excellent job with them so far.
Goalkeeper Greg Hall is another familiar face but it is not clear whether he will be involved in the game.
Unfortunately, one player who will be missing from the Witton squad is midfielder Reece Daly, who made a major impact during his loan spell at the U Lock It Stadium but has now been recalled by his parent club.
Wythenshawe Town have football league experience in their squad in the form of former Stevenage and Sheffield Wednesday player George Boyd, who will need to be watched carefully but then there are so many others on view who can affect the game.
After this game, we face Town’s neighbours Wythenshawe FC at the weekend but that is for the future as Witton focus on the matter in hand first.
Kick off at Ericstan Park is 7.45pm.
