Witton look to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night when they welcome league leaders Widnes in a re arranged Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
The original fixture in early January was postponed due to the weather.
Saturday’s defeat at Hednesford Town brought to an end an unbeaten run of seven games but Albion will feel that they deserved something from the game, only to lose It in the final minute.
Widnes go into the game top of the table and in good form which has seen them lose only once in fifteen games in all competitions.
It maybe a surprise to a lot that they are in that position but they have shown consistency this season and are there on merit.
Witton will be hoping to begin another winning run as they push towards those coveted play off places but they face a tough test in another crucial game.
Widnes currently have a four point lead at the top and have taken thirteen points from the last five games and will be looking to extend their lead.
Their away form has been good losing only twice on their travels in the league at Trafford and then at Chasetown back in September.
Last season saw Witton complete the league double over their opponents, winning 2-1 at the U Lock It Stadium courtesy of goals from Lee Jackson and Connor Hughes.
The return fixture at the DCBL Stadium saw Albion come away with a 3-1 success with Elliot Rokka adding to Tom Pope’s brace.
Widnes success this season is due in part to the goalscoring exploits of James Steele and Sean Miller whilst a familiar face to Witton fans in Harry McGee has also chipped in.
Witton can climb into the top ten with a win but Widnes will make things difficult for Ben Harrison’s team, and they will need to be at their best if they are to take anything from the game.
Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 7.45pm.
