Witton complete a run of three successive away games when they travel to Clitheroe on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
The two teams are separated only on goal difference in the table, one goal better in Witton’s favour.
The Blues have come into good form in the past few games, winning three drawing two and losing only one of their last six.
Since parting company with manager Jimmy Bell, experienced ex league player Sean McConville has assumed the role and appears to have improved the club’s fortunes.
Witton’s last visit to the EcoGiants Stadium in March 2024, saw them come away with a comfortable 3-0 win with goals from Tom Pope, Elliot Rokka & Connor Hughes all since departed and it gave the Albion their only success against Clitheroe in the seven meetings between the two.
The return fixture at the U Lock It Stadium earlier in the season saw Clitheroe edge a closely fought game by the odd goal in three, Sefton Gonzales double was enough to give the Blues the points despite Wealth Dasilva’s reply for the Albion.
One defeat in the last five games has steadied things somewhat for Ben Harrison and his team but, they still need to be more consistent if they are to climb the table from their current mid-table position.
Another tough game faces them and Witton will need to make the most of their chances when they come along if they are to clinch three more important points.
Kick off at the EcoGiants Stadium is 3pm.
