2. At The Central Ground
HOME MATCH ATTENDANCES AT THE CENTRAL GROUND
The actual and presumably official attendance figures available only seemed to appear on a regular basis in the 1950s. Unfortunately even then quite a number were not a precise total, being rounded to the nearest 100 or even, what would appear to be, slight guesswork on the part of the local Chronicle and Guardian Sports journalists.
The table below shows the TOP 50 over the period up until we vacated the premises in May 1989.
The photo shows Albion skipper Jack Robinson with his counterpart before we demolished the "old enemy" that Good Friday afternoon the goals coming from Eric Hyde (3), Frank Fidler, Jack Bowden, Henry Williams and a Joey Dale penalty.
