Club Statement: Joe Duckworth
Witton Albion Football Club is aware of non-football related reports involving first‑team player Joe Duckworth. At this time, the club has not been informed of the full circumstances or nature of the matter, and it would therefore be inappropriate to comment further.
In light of the situation, the club and the player have mutually agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
The Board would like to thank Joe for his contribution to the club and we wish him well in the future.
Due to this being a private matter for Joe there will be no further comment from the club.
We now focus on our remaining two games starting tomorrow against Bury FC away.
